Joseph
Cefai has a track record in managing high-tech start-ups and
has 14 years experience in micro-sensor and micro-fluidic systems.
Before joining Starbridge Systems he was a Founder and Director
of R&D at Protasis UK Limited in 2002 where he managed the
development of micro-technologies for chemical analysis systems.
Prior to joining Protasis, Joseph was co-founder and Managing
Director at MSTB Ltd., a company developing micro-sensors, where
he directed the growth of the company from start-up to a trade
sale in 2000. During this time he was also an advisor to the
European Space Agency and a founding member of NEXUS, the European
Micro-Systems Network.
Joseph has a PhD in drug metabolism and toxicology. He is currently
a member of the EPSRC (Engineering and Physical Sciences Research
Council, UK) peer review college.
